Alpari Review 2024 - Is it a Scam? Fees, leverage, minimum deposit

Alpari was founded in 1998 and was one of the largest CFD and Forex brokers until 2015. Following the Swiss central bank's decision to abandon the lower limit on the euro's franc rate, the broker was no longer able to cope with his clients' losses. The insolvency also affected the German offshoot of the broker. The customer base was taken over by the competitor ETX Capital. As a result, all customers have received their money back. Today Alpari is back on the market, but there is no German website. What else you need to know about the broker is shown by our Alpari review.

Anyone wishing to open a trading account with Alpari can choose between four different options. No minimum deposit is required for the "Nano MT4 account". Thus 44 currency pairs as well as the precious metals gold and silver can be traded with the MetaTrader 4. For foreign exchange trading, the maximum leverage is 1:500, for precious metals the leverage is 1:50. For a minimum deposit of 100 Euros, there is the "Standard MT4" and "Standard MT5 Account". Here, traders can choose between a flexible lever from 1:10 to 1:1000.

For ECN trading, traders can also choose between three different account models, based on our Alpari review. The "ECN MT4" account is available from a minimum deposit of 300 Euro. Trading offers include 48 currency pairs, 15 CFDs and 12 metals. The maximum lever is 1:1000, alternatively there is the "Pro ECN MT4" and the "ECN MT5" account. Trading is based on fixed spreads from 2.0 pips.

With ECN accounts, traders trade at flexible spreads from 0 pips. In return, a commission is charged. As the Alpari review shows, ECB accounts are primarily worthwhile for traders who regularly trade high volumes.

A free demo account gives traders the opportunity to familiarize themselves with a broker's trading platform and test it extensively with all its functions. Alpari also offers this option. Traders can trade with the Alpari demo account at real-time prices on international stock exchanges to test tactics and strategies extensively. During our Alpari review, however, there were occasional delays in price movements, requests and slippage.

On the positive side, Alpari provides both the MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 via the demo account and can therefore be tested extensively. When registering, it is important to state that you do not want any advertising calls. The demo account is set up with a certain amount of play money. If it is used up, the demo account can be reloaded via e-mail to support. This means that the test account can be used unlimitedly in combination with the real-time account.

Alpari offers various payment options for depositing money into your trading account. In addition to the classic credit card and bank transfer, fast deposits via the digital payment system Neteller and Skrill are also possible. These offer the advantage that the amount deposited is immediately available on the trading account. Another option is the payment by cheque. However, it can take up to 7 working days before the money is credited to the customer's account. The possibility of transferring money directly from another broker to the Alpari trading account is also very interesting.

For security reasons, withdrawals will only be made by bank transfer. This is a small drawback, as traders have to wait several days before the amount paid out is booked. Alternatively, there is the option of transferring the profits made to another brokerage account. Withdrawal requests received before 12:00 noon on weekdays will always be processed on the same day. Review has shown that transfers are usually posted to your own checking account after 2 to 3 working days.

Credit card deposits are subject to a fee of 2.5 percent of the amount deposited. Who decides for Skrill pays 2.4 per cent plus one-time 0.29 euro. Neteller charges a fee of 2.5 percent. Ledier must also pay fees for withdrawals. In the case of bank transfers between 17 and 22 euros, this figure is particularly high. Credits by credit card cost 1.2 percent plus a one-time fee of 2 euros.

Alpari does not offer a fixed bonus like other Forex brokers. Instead, the broker offers changing promotions at regular intervals. For example, Akguell gives a 100% bonus to new customers on their first deposit. Note that the bonus can only be used for binary options.

In addition, the broker offers further promotions based on our Alpari review. For example, there are always additional profits with binary options of 3 percent and more. It is always worthwhile to visit the Alpari advertising page on a regular basis.

Unfortunately, there is no longer any German-speaking support at Alpari. If you have any questions or problems, customer service is available 24/7 in English during the trading days. For German customers, fast live chat is the first choice. This is also free of charge and makes it easier to bridge minor language problems. Telephone support is also available, but due to the international phone number it is usually associated with additional costs. Alternatively, there is also an e-mail support service which, according to our Alpari review, scores points with fast response times.

The large training program offered by the broker for beginners and professionals is also very commendable. For example, there are weekly webinars with Alpari experts. The broker's extensive video archive provides valuable tips on forex trading and explains, among other things, how to use the trading platforms and the sensible use of trading strategies.

Following Alpari's insolvency in 2015, the broker is currently trying to make a fresh start. Traders can trade in Forex, CFDs and binary options, depending on the account model. The trade offer is currently not too extensive. On the other hand, there is little fault with the conditions. Traders will find a real ECNM account for a comparatively low minimum deposit. Another plus point is that MetaTrader 5 can already be traded.
